Ovidio, also known as Publius Ovidius Naso (43 BC – AD 17) was the name of a well-known Roman poet, best known for his collections of love poetry. His work influenced authors such as Shakespeare & Dante. Ovidio was born in Sulmona, Italy, which is also the hometown of Franco, the owner of Ovidio Ristorante. Because of Ovidio’s influence on Franco’s hometown, he & his wife Virginia decided to bring the Italian culture and their family recipes with them to the Central Valley. Opening his restaurant in 1979, Ovidio Ristorante has been locally owned & operated for over 45 years. Managed by their son Rocco, the Paolilli family is happy to host you for any occasion. We cannot wait to see you!
